AMBITION!

This week I have to tell you about an ambition I have. I found it really difficult, actually, because I think I have a lot of thing I would like to do or achieve. So, I guess I will have to choose one. So in order not to bore you with my Zeitgeist topic all the time, I will have to say…
Languages! I love different languages. I want to learn at least 3 different ones, especially French and German. I would like to learn French because I have a baby niece growing up in France, I want to be able to understand everything she says, above all her first words; German is because almost all my Father’s family knows it, and because if I go to study a post graduate degree in the Europe, I would like to do it in Germany.
I think that my family inspired my ambition, but most of all, it is because I love to be able to communicate with different persons or understand things I read in other languages.
I will be so happy if I learned well these languages, especially if I can go to places where I can practice talking with native speakers, taking advantage of learning from their cultures.

One song I really like :)

Hi there! Today I’m going to show you a music video that I really like. It isn’t much like my style of music because I’m not such a fan of hip-hop, but this is a great song, especially for the lyrics. The song it’s call “Free Energy”, and talks about several topics but all related to global problems and solutions, many of which couldn’t be achieved because of some people that didn’t seem to benefit from that. This song is played by a band called Luminaries, and features Aishah and I don’t really know who written the song, but I suppose that was the band. Actually, all I know about the song is what said in the youtube link to this song.
I found this song thanks to the facebook group of the zeitgeist movement in Chile, about a year ago. I hope you can make the time to hear the song; it talks about a lot of themes, that way I choose to leave you the link of the video with its subtitles in English and Spanish too. I hope that the teacher doesn’t mind :D

LOVE

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you this picture that I took a long time ago, in November 2008.  It shows my brother’s family, so the girls are my sister-in-law and my niece, who is now 7 years old, my little Bárbara J.On that day we were in a barbecue, that my other brother organized, who doesn’t live in Chile anymore, so it was like a family reunion with several friends too. This was in the “Botanic Garden” which is located between Viña del Mar and Quilpué. It was a sunny day that afternoon, and I was really enthusiastic about my brother’s camera, because every time he comes to Chile, he brings a different one, always better than the one before. So I take a lot of pictures that day with his camera; I really love to take pictures.
I love this pic because the three of them seem to be so happy, and I really like the expression of my niece’s face. She looks just like a loved kid. Simple like that.

Speaking of websites..

When I was in High School I discovered, thanks to my brother, a very interesting solution to the problems we have today, as a society. I was very fascinated by that and I go to the website very often, it is www.thevenusproject.com, and it’s about a Resource Based Economy, an idea created by a society-engineer called Jacque Fresco in which show a world totally functional with no money at all. People often say that this is an utopic gold, but I believe it is possible, maybe not in the next 10, 30 or 50 years, but like every important success in history, they all started by one man revolutionary ideas.
Also I like to visit www.zchile.cl, which is the website of Chilean Zeitgeist Movement. This was the activist part of The Venus Project, but they split up. They are great people with a common interest that tries to make a change in our world. You can see the documentary called Zeitgeist Moving Forward, I recommend it to you ;)
See you next monday!
